On the edge of the village Terherne you will find the wooden pavilion (2005) Het Meer van Lenten.
The name Het Meer van Lenten winks at the books of the children book series De Kameleon (the Chameleon) by the writer Hotze de Roos.
Since 2005 many people find their way to this wonderful establishment that offers a majestic look on the Sneekermeer. A great lake where something is always happening. A party or a reception becomes even more special and enjoyable when you arrive by boat.
A large main jetty and three smaller ones offer the opportunity to moor your boat. There is a large parking area for your car or electrical bicycle, for which we will have a charging facility shortly. The spacious terrace is fully enclosed by glass and offers a sheltered spot, out of the wind and into the sun. Furthermore there is a large, safe playing ground.
The pavilion is a coveted spot for weddings, parties, receptions and celebrating birthdays. From early morning until late at night, the crew of the pavilion is waiting to welcome you and to pamper you on one of the most special little spots in Friesland.
